The Secret Origin of Cassietta Lerone Baker
Once upon a time, in the land of reality, a child was born. He grew up on the legendary stories of two iconic women, who became his idols: Diana Ross, and Cassietta Baker George. He was born December 27, 1964 in Memphis, TN, his birth name was William Lerone Baker. After the passing of his legendary aunt Cassietta Baker George, he legally changed his name to Cassietta Lerone Baker.

He is the great-grandson of the late Pastor Peter A. Baker, who was born in 1899 and passed in 1981. He is the fourth generational cousin of the late legendary icon Josephine Baker, who was born in 1906 and passed in 1975. He is the great nephew of the gospel music pioneer Cassietta Baker George, who was born in 1929 and passed in 1995.
At the age of 17, he was saved, baptized and received the gift of the Holy Spirit. He then began to preach the uncompromising Word of God. In 1982, he was crowned Mr. Northside, king of his high school class. In 1988, he recorded his first record entitled “One Baptism,” a song previously written and recorded by his Aunt Cassietta. In 1992, he moved to Waukegan, IL and started his own television show called An Evening with Lerone Baker. This show earned him the Black Entertainment Television’s Dr. Bobby Jones’ Diamond Festival Award nomination for the episode entitled Reflections of a Sacred Icon. In 1995, he received Mayor Willie Heretons’ Memphis Achievement Award. In 1996, he received the City of Memphis’ City Council Resolution Award. In October 2008, he wrote and published a phenomenal biography entitled Miss Walk Around Heaven All Day, The Untold Story of Cassietta Baker George: The Conspiracy of the Torn Mantle. This is a very eye opening, graphic and revealing true story about the life and legacy of his Aunt Cassietta Baker George.

God has endowed Cassietta Lerone Baker with the gifts of discerning, prophecy, evangelism, faith, healing, song writing and singing. In the last 30 years of his ministry, there has been over 148 nation-wide radio and television interviews as well as newspaper releases about his legacy.
